Dr. Dequies Lanier is originally from Birmingham, AL and she resides in Atlanta, GA. She is passionate about advancing women and girls, empowering them to lead a purposeful authentic life. She has served as a higher education administrator, strategist, and associate faculty. She is highly skilled in operational strategy, training and development, and team management. 

 

In her early years, Dequies was always fond of the arts, design, and education, her various experiences continue to inspire her creatively. Through all of her different experiences, one thing remained near to her heart. Her life-long purpose to enrich the lives of women and to help others.  She is an author, researcher, strategist, mentor, creative, and community advocate.

Currently, Dr. Dequies serves her community in different roles on boards, committees, and within nonprofit organizations. Her research interests include women's leadership, organizational behavior, human development, and social well-being. Her personal interests include spending time with family, serving God's people, traveling, and various creative forms of design. She enjoys hosting a party or two and planning intimate events. Her goal is simple, to love others boldly and fiercely, to provide support, and to help women achieve their version of true happiness through purposeful living. ​​​​​​​​​
