Altitude

Isaiah 40:31 ~ Wait on the Lord, he will renew your strength.
It hasn’t happened yet because he’s taking you to a higher altitude. Going to higher altitude can cause side effects if not done appropriately. It’s advised to ascend gradually and not to over exert yourself. When I think of these instructions it reminds me of how God’s timing is perfect because he prepares us for the destination. The prayers that you may feel have gone unanswered are not. Instead you’re in this place ascending gradually. You must go through this time to avoid severe side effects. And even then you will still experience mild side effects.
Sometimes the higher altitude has the following side effects:
Give Up Mindset: The act of being defeated before the journey is complete. It’s like climbing a mountain and fear kicks in, you mentally shut down and panic—I can’t do it!
Imposter Syndrome: Negative self talk about not being worthy enough or skilled enough.
Fatigue: Exceptionally exhausted and tired of trying to move forward. No longer seeing the benefits of the efforts put forth.
Emotional Pain: The possibility of being hurt, embarrassed, disappointed, mocked or sabotaged.
Isolation: Loss of supporters, friends, family—feeling alone.
Restlessness: Eager to see a change, an inability to wait for guidance and willing yourself to get ahead.

The more severe side effects deal with the soul. This occurs when you ascend too quickly. You may become self-righteous, reckless in behaviors towards others or self. You may not even recognize the person you’re becoming, selfishly moving through life willing to do anything to win. This is hazardous! Your soul is in jeopardy when you operate like this.
You ARE destined for a higher altitude but it requires you to manage your expectations and trust God’s divine plan for you. Climbing that mountain with total disregard for God's expert advice could end with you tumbling quickly to destruction. Ascend gradually and allow God’s provision to protect you. We know that some mild side effects can happen and that's par for the course but that only builds and strengthens your faith in Him.
Prayer Heavenly Father thank you for your protective provision. You are able to see what my eyes can not see. You clear paths before I arrive and you prepare me for new heights. Thank you for seeing value in me and using me for your Devine purpose. When I fall short and I eagerly plan my way, remind me of your guidance and help me to seek your will first. When my time comes, help me be less of me and more of you. Build inside of me the woman you desire me to be. ~ Amen
