Graceful Restoration

1 Peter 5:10

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”

What is lost is painful and what is gained is for his glory. Your faith grows immensely when that’s all you have left. Through the development of your faith God gains the glory. The angles rejoice and the Lord is pleased because it’s another day that the enemy is defeated. Restoration is a beautiful thing to experience. After the storm passes God has a way of restoring you in seasons of loss and he even does it with great magnitude.

He demonstrates his sovereignty and his omnipresence. He reigns all things, in heaven and on earth. He is operating simultaneously in these spaces. He created time and he restores time as well. Where you count down years of what was taken from you God extends life and births something greater in you. The grace of the Lord isn’t something we earn or that we deserve. His grace is the favor over our lives that he gives freely. It is through grace that he restores because of his unconditional love.

If you have gone through a tough moment or season in life sister don’t give up. Let not your heart be troubled because victory was accomplished on Calvary. When you feel as though all odds are against you and fear over takes you, please remember the favor over your life. Remember that even if you lose something in this season, like your ancestor Job, you will receive it back ten fold. Ruth and Naomi lost a lot after Naomi’s sons and husband died. They also gained very much because the Lord is faithful. Leah was barren, between her, Rachel (honorable mention Bilhah and Zilpah) they birthed all of Israel!

Sister don’t you quit now, I know you’re hurting but his grace is sufficient and restorative power is on the way. The things that you’ve experienced in your quiet moments alone in your darkest hour where no one could take your pain—God heard you. When family and friends couldn’t comfort you in a way that you needed, God covered you. When your back was against the wall and hope seemed harder and harder to hold on to, God protected your mind and gave you strength. So today I ask you to pray with me because restoration IS coming!

Prayer Heavenly Father I mourned, I experienced deep sorrow. When I cried myself to sleep I fell into despair wondering where to go from there. You gave me hope, you reminded me in gentle small moments that you love me endlessly. Thank you father for knowing the things I couldn’t always express and granting my mind rest. Oh Lord I praise you now and forever because I trust your promises and I know they are true. Whatever I’ve lost—your power is magnified in my weakness. You are Alpha and Omega, you are the source of my strength. You, my savior made a way when all I saw was darkness. Father, you have restorative power. My heart will rejoice knowing that in my hardest hour you can command the storm and bring victory! When the storm passes, instill in my heart a renewed mind and a faith that helps the healing process for others. Give me a new walk and a new talk, may you receive all the glory ~ Amen
