Stay Focused: Disruption & Chaos Are Tools of the Enemy

1 Peter 5:8 ~ A roaring lion roams about…

Have you ever felt like you were finally figuring out your purpose and learning that your process was intentional? Like God allowed you to go through some things just to develop you into who you are today. Furthermore, he pushed you through some painful situations and people to help you walk fully in your purpose? Now that you've finally figured that out here comes more drama, more chaos, more disruption?! You thought you made it through the valley and things aren't perfect but you're proud of what you survived?

Here's the lesson--

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 1 Peter 5:8-10

The enemy has a mission to destroy your faith and throw you off your path towards filling your God given purpose. The enemy will place seeds of doubt, stir up trouble in your family, your children, friends, your job, your church. You name it, there are no lengths off limits. Oftentimes, the enemy will even attack in places you already feel vulnerable. If your marriage is struggling guess what, he's find an entry way. If your child has gone astray and doing anything possible to wear down your heart, guess what he's found an entry way. What about your job where you do all that you can to keep the peace and show up another day? Once someone on the job gets the best of you, all it take is one moment for you to lose your cool and he's found an entry way--yes you've got the point. The enemy has no intention of getting off his mission. As long as you follow Christ he's got a job to do. The moment you succumb to his attacks he'll know he has won and there is nothing left to do with you.

But for the good news, because as a child of God there is ALWAYS good news! STAY FOCUSED. It's not easy and when the enemy attacks in the most sensitive ways, guard your heart with the strength of the Lord. The battle is carrying on in spiritual realms and you my love just have to bear the storm for now. Because like the scripture says, after you've suffered a little while "the God of ALL grace--who has CALLED YOU will RESTORE you. Let the enemy know through your faithfulness to the Lord that you belong to the Prince of Peace!

Prayer Heavenly Father, I've survived challenges and I'm feeling overwhelmed again. I know your promises are true and you've already won! Help me not to lose hope while enduring the chaos. Help me Father to remember I am chosen and provide strength when the weight is too heavy. I know this too shall pass but until it does give me peace, give me a heart to love beyond the hate that I may experience. I know that the enemy is busy using anyone to distract me from my purpose but I pray not to look at flesh and remember this is spiritual warfare. Lord cover me with your protection and heal my wounds. ~ Amen
